A New Beginning...

Eventually, after seeing and hearing a few horror stories from her own children on the trips they planned on their own, she started booking trips for them too. The trips she planned were often better than what even they could imagine, and the next thing she knew, word spread on their social media accounts, about how awesome the trips she planned were and how much fun they had and on the family vacations with her, that her friends, coworkers, and her kids friends, were all asking her to help them plan their vacations too.

Surprised by this result, she wondered if this could be a way she could combine her passions, while using her extensive knowledge and personal experience from her years of travelling to help others. She also discovered that her desire to help people make lasting memories with their families, combined with her excellent money saving skills, would end up becoming something that she not only excelled at, but genuinely excited her. One day, while on a visit, her daughter suggested that she become a travel agent, since she enjoyed helping others plan their vacations so much, and she always had a lot of knowledge on the best places to visit and where to stay.

A Great Idea, Taken Further...

After much reflection on the times she has given travel advice over the years, Cynthia thought it was a great idea, but decided to take it a step further. She believed that starting her own agency would be a better alternative, because for her clients, the travel arrangements would be made by someone they trusted, and reccomendations would be made based on her own experience, while being tailored to their needs and wishes. They wouldn't have to roll the dice and take a chance based on the words of total strangers. Her clients would be getting her honesty and integrity, rather than going with a major search engine or travel website being paid by big companies to remove the bad reviews and hide the truth from their customers.

This was not only misleading and dangerous for people, but it was also something, that not just those she knew had been previously burned by, but she herself, as well. So, after much deliberation, and with the full support of her family behind her, she decided to start her own travel agency, which she named, “Nexus Destinations” and become a certified travel agent.

Active Partnerships and Certifications....

Mrs. Alexander is not only a certified CLIA and IATA agent, and many others, but she's also a certified Disney specialist as well, and is currently a part of the Inteletravel.com network. She currently has active partnerships with Booking.com, Sandals Resorts and other major leaders in the travel industry, in addition to all major hotel chains, resorts, cruiselines, airlines, car rental companies and Amtrak. She is also a certified consultant for all Disney resorts and properties, and is authorized to book vacation rentals as well. She is also Uplift and Allianz certified, which means, she is authorized to take financial payments toward a future trip, as well as provide travel insurance.
